Borders is committed to the idea of connecting books and readers; we are passionate about the importance of literacy and knowledge to our culture; dedicated to the extraordinary power of books?those who write them, read them, collect them, look after them, treasure them.

Here at Borders, San Mateo, we always have friendly staff to greet and assist you. There is great public transportation with Samtrans and Caltrain nearby, as well as plenty of public parking. We offer a variety of great events that are unique to our store: Paranormal Book Club (the last Wednesday of the month), Japanese-themed storytime (Third Friday of each month at 11), and Open Mike Night (Third Wednesday of each month). In addition to our monthly we are open to hosting one time events. We even have a patio for the occasion.
