Rod Mench was born on October 4th 1948. Rod grew up playing with clay and terra cotta. By the age of 14, he realized that not only was sculpting one of his favorite hobbies, but that he actually "had a knack for it". A graduate of the University of Michigan, he majored in marketing and accounting. After working several years at a major pharmaceutical company, he decided to quit and pursue his main passion--sculpting. He's turned his hobby into a successful business and has become an internationally recognized sculptor. The American Civil War has been the main focus of his business. When asked why the Civil War, he responds, "I'm a great fan of lost causes, cavalry charges, and country waltzes." With his great interest in history, Mr. Mench believes that there are many human conflicts that go beyond the political storms that no one knows about. The Civil War is rich in human-interest stories. With 11 years' professional experience, he is able to create unique sculptures with painstaking detail. He is also one of the few artists to actually ASK his collectors what they want. His emphasis is on accuracy, quality, and always a fresh approach.

We also carry specialty flags. These flags are displayed for sheer whimsy. Some of the many topics we cover are Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter. All occasion flags for party occasions, birth announcement flags, birthday, golfing, peace symbols, holidays, sports, mother's day and father's day.
